01Compare the same trip length
Use the same pickup and return times when comparing two car listings. A difference of a few hours can change the quoted duration or trigger an additional charge. Confirm whether the price is per calendar day, 24-hour period or another booking unit.
02Look past the headline rate
Review the checkout breakdown for taxes, platform charges, delivery, add-ons and any refundable deposit. A deposit is money held under the booking terms, so check when and how it is returned. Do not assume that the displayed daily rate is the complete amount due.
03Check the distance and fuel plan
Compare any included kilometre allowance and the cost or process for extra distance. Confirm the fuel level expected at pickup and return, and how fuel is handled if the vehicle is not returned at the recorded level.
04Compare pickup convenience
A lower price may come with a pickup area farther from your starting point. Check the actual location and handover time, and include your transport to pickup in your own trip plan.
05Read the terms for your dates
Cancellation charges, extensions, late return fees and eligibility rules may depend on the specific booking. Review the in-app total and applicable terms before payment; use that final screen for the decision.
