Choose a bike for your route
Think about distance, traffic, passenger needs, luggage and road conditions. Compare the vehicle type, engine capacity where listed, transmission, storage and stated range. Do not assume a model is suitable for a route without checking its details.
Confirm licence and safety requirements
Before paying, confirm that your driving licence is valid for the vehicle category and that you meet the host’s age and document requirements. Check what protective equipment is included or required, and follow local traffic rules throughout the trip.
Understand the full booking cost
Compare the total for your dates, not just the advertised daily rate. Check the deposit, taxes, fuel expectations, kilometre limits, late return charges and any delivery fee. Review the cancellation and refund terms before checkout.
Inspect before leaving
At pickup, check the tyres, lights, brakes, mirrors, horn and visible body condition. Confirm the fuel level, note existing marks with the host and make sure you know the return location and time. Do not ride a vehicle that appears unsafe.
Plan a sensible return
