How RaideX works.
RaideX is a self-drive vehicle rental marketplace. Hosts list their own cars and bikes; you rent one, drive it yourself and return it. This page explains how booking, pricing, verification and returns will work in the app, using the same rules the booking engine applies. The website itself doesn't take bookings.
Renting a vehicle, step by step

Find a vehicle
Browse cars and bikes by city on RaideX. Each listing shows real host photos, specs, the pickup area and the hourly rate range.

Verify once
Upload your driving licence and ID and take a live selfie in the app. RaideX approves your profile before your first booking.
- 03
Book and pay
Choose pickup and return times (at least 6 hours for cars, 1 hour for bikes). Before payment, the app shows your complete booking total, applicable charges and taxes, and any refundable deposit.

Pick up and inspect
Meet the host at the pickup point shared in the app. You both record photos, fuel or charge and the odometer before you drive off.

Drive, extend or return
Extend in the app if the vehicle is free. Return on time at the agreed place and record the vehicle's condition again.

Deposit and review
The deposit is refunded after check-in, less only documented deductions. Then you can review the vehicle.
How pricing works
| Hourly rate | Every vehicle has a minimum and maximum hourly rate. Your rate falls inside that range. |

Documents and verification
- Valid driving licence for the vehicle class (no learner's licence)

Minimum trip: 6 hours for cars, 1 hour for bikes. Trips start at least 2 hours after booking.
Cancellations and refunds
If you cancel after paying, you may receive a refund of up to 50% of the booking charge, and your refundable security deposit is returned in full. The app shows the exact cancellation terms and amounts before payment and again before you confirm a cancellation. If the host cancels, you choose a full refund or an available replacement. A cheaper replacement leaves the difference as RaideX Cash, which is in-app credit for future bookings and cannot be withdrawn. Read the full policy.
Listing a vehicle as a host
- Check eligibility. Self-drive rental vehicles in most Indian states need commercial registration, a rent-a-cab or rent-a-motorcycle permit and insurance that covers rental use.
- Submit the listing. Add real photos, the vehicle's details, your city and pickup area, availability, pricing and documents in the app.
- RaideX review. RaideX checks the vehicle and documents. The listing becomes public only after approval.
- Host and get paid. Record condition at each handover. Your share of each booking is shown in the app and paid after the trip.

RaideX is an Indian self-drive vehicle rental marketplace. Vehicle owners (hosts) list their own cars and bikes; customers rent them for a few hours, days or longer and drive themselves. RaideX reviews every listing, verifies every renter and handles booking and payment.
How does RaideX work?
Find a vehicle, choose pickup and return times in the RaideX app, complete a one-time identity check, pay the total shown, and collect the vehicle from the host. You and the host record the vehicle's condition at pickup and return.
Where is RaideX available?
RaideX is onboarding its first hosts in India. Cities are listed on the locations page only once they have vehicles listed.
What vehicles can I rent on RaideX?
Cars and two-wheelers (bikes, scooters and motorcycles), including electric vehicles where hosts have listed them. Every vehicle is a real listing reviewed by RaideX before it appears.
How does RaideX pricing work?
Each vehicle has an hourly rate range. Longer trips (towards 48 hours) and bookings made further ahead (up to 168 hours) move the rate towards the lower end. Any applicable charges and taxes are included in the full total shown before you pay; a refundable security deposit is shown separately. The confirmed total is fixed once you book.
What documents do I need to rent a vehicle?
A valid driving licence for the vehicle class, a government photo ID and a live selfie for face matching. You verify these once in the app before your first booking.
How does KYC work on RaideX?
You upload your ID and driving licence and take a live selfie in the app. RaideX reviews them before your first booking; a booking cannot be completed until verification is approved. Documents are stored privately and are never shown publicly.
What is the minimum rental duration?
6 hours for cars and 1 hour for bikes. Trips must start at least 2 hours after booking.
How does booking work?
Pick a vehicle and your times in the app, review the full price breakdown and terms, and pay. The booking is confirmed once the payment is verified and the vehicle is still free for those times.
How do hosts list vehicles on RaideX?
Hosts submit the vehicle's details, real photos, pickup area, availability and documents (registration, insurance, pollution certificate and any permit their state requires) in the app. The listing goes live only after RaideX reviews it.
Can I extend my booking?
Yes, if the vehicle is still free. Request the extension in the app before your trip ends; extra time is charged at the vehicle's top hourly rate.
What happens if I return the vehicle late?
Late return is charged at 2× your booked hourly rate for each started hour. If you need more time, request an extension before the trip ends instead.
Can I pick up the vehicle early?
Up to 30 minutes early is free where the host allows it. Beyond that, some hosts allow paid early pickup at your booked hourly rate.
What is the cancellation policy?

What payment methods are supported?
Payments are made in the RaideX app through a licensed payment gateway. The methods available to you are shown at checkout. RaideX does not see or store your full card, UPI or bank details.
Are RaideX reviews genuine?
Only customers who completed a trip in a vehicle can review it, once per booking. Ratings are shown only when real reviews exist.
