01Check the tyres and wheels
Look for visible cuts, unusual wear or a tyre that appears low. Check that the wheels look seated correctly and that nothing is rubbing or loose. If you are unsure about the condition, ask the host to clarify before departure.
02Test the basic controls
With the bike stationary in a safe area, check the brakes, front and rear lights, indicators, horn, mirrors and throttle response. Confirm that the stand and any included safety equipment are present and usable.
03Record the starting condition
Walk around the bike with the host. Note existing scratches or damage, record the fuel level and take clear photos where appropriate. Make sure your observations match the host's handover record.
04Confirm documents and included items
Check the documents and safety equipment listed in your booking. Ask which items must be returned with the vehicle and what to do if something is missing or damaged during the trip.
05Know where and when to return
Confirm the return location, time, fuel expectation and contact method. If traffic or a change of plan could make you late, contact the host through the booking channel and request an extension before the scheduled end.
